| As the first of its type in Hong Kong, this MA program offers courses
on latest human communication theories and cutting-edge new media technologies.
Since 1998, the program has enrolled nine classes, each including mid-career
professionals with working experience in mass media, advertising, public
relations, marketing communication, corporate communication, government
or non-profit organizational communication, web and multimedia production
firms, and other communication sectors.
The program offers both part-time and full-time modes of study. Part-time students take 2-3 courses per semester to complete the study in 4 semesters plus 1 summer whereas full-time students take 4 courses per semesters to complete the study in 2 semesters plus 1 summer. Graduates from the program are expected to become knowledgeable and skillful in planning, designing, producing, and evaluating communication projects involving the Internet and/or multimedia. <More on curriculum> There is one application exercise per year.
