



Ming received her BEd in English and Music with first-class honours from the University of London. She then finished her MA in language studies and MSc in information and technology management with outstanding results in Hong Kong. With a previous training in both the arts and science domains, she is interested in various research areas: multimedia design, new media usability, information system development for text analysis, media and technology for language education, web-based instruction, e-learning, business and professional discourse analysis, corporate training, and continuing education. Prior to joining City University of Hong Kong, she developed and taught courses in English, corporate communication, learning and thinking skills at undergraduate and postgraduate levels at various universities in Hong Kong. In addition, her career has covered legal communication, marketing and operations management. At present, she is also the senior corporate communication consultant of an advertising company in Hong Kong. Besides playing the piano and flute, she also likes swimming and playing squash. Under the cultivation of her father who is an amateur oil painter, she has developed since childhood a good sense of imagination, creativity, and aesthetics. Her philosophy - "work hard, study hard, and play hard" made her appear as the cover story of Central Magazine in 2002. |
